Tooth fairy

Jan. 22, 2014
Today Connor had to go to the Denist to have his two front teeth pulled out. Last week was a 6 month check up and while one was loose the Denist said if it did not come out within a week she would need to pull it. The tooth had begun to stick out like a buck tooth. Partly because he pushed it with his tounge and the other because the new tooth was pushing it. The Denist said that if they pulled one they would go ahead and pull both so they could come in together and line up nicely, and for the fact we wouldn't have to make another trip if the second one needed pulled. She told us to try and get the tooth out and to "wiggle wiggle twist" . Connor wouldn't let me come near it and finally asked if it had been enough time that he could just get them pulled. I think the whole reason was so he could have two missing teeth at the same time.
I got him out of school an hour early and off to the Denist we went. He was nervous and did not want to get in the chair. As soon as he did and the put the nose mask with the nitrous he was perfectly fine. He did so good. Afterwards of course we had to go and get ice cream!

Awards

Jan. 23, 2014

Awards day for 1st grade! Connor received 3 awards! I am one proud momma! One for perfect attendance, readingng, and PE. The PE one was for the whole class ! He was so cute on stage. We knew he was getting the perfect attendance one so I had told him before hand when he got up there to smile big so I could see him with his no teeth. Luckily I sit with his class while Mrs. Phillips is on stage so I get to sit by him and I'm pretty close for pictures which is nice. :)

My world

My whole world is, my son Connor. I honestly don't know where I would be with out him. Maybe our situation wasn't ideal but I believe God had a plan.
Connor went for a sleep over last night to his friends. This was the first time he was gone on a weekend night and that I had free to my self in well over 2 years. I was completely lost. I ended up grabbing a bite to eat and wondering through target, coming home doing laundry and dishes.
When he was younger there were plenty of times I needed a break, now that he is older those days are far and few between. He is a big boy, can keep him self entertained and is self sufuent in many ways. I wish I could slow down the hands of time (( as I sing it, just like the song ha)) and soak up every ounce of this life we have created.  Today was one of those days that I just take a step back and it fills my heart with joy.
After I picked him up from his friends we and ran a few errands, had lunch at went to the humane society to look at the puppies. He's been asking for a dog for a couple weeks and while it's crossed my mind I just don't like the idea of it being locked up all day while we are gone. The way he figures it all out and solves all the problems brings a smile to my face. He told me that he would save his money for the dog, the dog could share his toys so then all we needed to do was buy it foods. Love how precious little minds work. As far as the dog we didn't bring one home with us today but I do think that every little boy should have a mans best friend.

Boosterthon

The school had a boosterthon to raise money this past week. Each child got pledges. You could do a flat donation or pledge a certain amount for each lap that would be ran. On the day of the funrun the students ran laps and that determined how much money they raised. The max number of laps they could run was 35. If they ran at least 32 or more then it was over 2 miles! During the week before the funrun They had pep rallies each day to get the kids motivated to raise money. Of course their were prizes involved. I was able to get away on my lunch hour to get over to the school and watch con run most of the laps. He completed 35 laps and raised a total of $108 for AJW!

Basketball!

This past weekend we finally went to Michelle's house and stayed the night. We also went to USC basketball game. Connor was so excited.

We got down there Friday about 8:30 and Connor was wide awake after a little nap. He didn't go to sleep till well after 12:30. That's what Kyle said. By that time I was long gone.
The next morning we got up and cooked breakfast and then hung around till game time. It was a lot of fun and I hope we will be able to go to another one before then end of the season.
Here are a few more pictures of Connor playing at aunt Michelle's.

I love their new house it makes me want to start fresh and re decorate my whole house!
She has hanging the poster I had made for their wedding reception as a surprise.

Wizard of Oz

At Connor's school they learned all about the Wizard of Oz. They read the book, and watched the movie. I love how they incorporated so many things into the story. They learned about pop up art and the engeering process of cutting out the pages. Connor's teacher showed them a pop up wizard of oz book. He talked about it for weeks and that was the only thing he asked from Santa, both times he saw him. They leaned about pully systems and took a field trip backstage to the Peace Center to look at the pully system that the witch would come in on. The broadway series was bringing The Wizard of Oz to the Peace Center, I knew after seeing The Lion King and how good it was this year we had to make it. Plus the fact Connor was all into The Wizard of Oz. The play was this afternoon, we had seats way up in the top but they were still good. The play was awesome and Connor was amazed they had a real dog for Toto. Here are a few pictures.

2014

So hard to believe it's been a year since my last post. 2013 was defiantly full of so many changes. I've grown so much as a person and spiritually. I can't wait to see what this 2014 has in store for us!

I may not be the best of bloggers mainly because I'm never at my computer but I have found a new app that I can do straight from my phone. That's makes me happy happy happy!

We had our traditional southern New Years good. Here is to 2014!
