Bingo

March 17, 2014

Our weekends seem to be all about soccer right now. Connor had a great game and Michelle and Kyle were here to watch him play and she scored! I was such a proud momma!

My mom ended up finding Michelle's old rock collection and gave it to Connor he thought some of them were so cool.
Michelle ended up sitting down with him and they went through them. It's cute how excited she was about them and explaining them to Con.

We also went and played bingo at my work that weekend. The recreation committee puts on all kinds of things and bingo with a bunch of cool prizes is one of them. Unforuntalty we didn't win anything. But we had fun.

A creative weekend

This past week was pretty slow for us. Lately it seems nice for some downtime on the weekend. Connor had a soccer game and it was team pictures. It was a beautiful weekend out and he played outside a lot.

I ended up buying a new cutting machine and did a project. I saw a windo like the one I did on Pinterest and loved it. I had/ have a  cutting machine and bought it right before Connor was boring but I have to buy cartridges for it and they are mostly $40! And I may only want one image. I found the shilloute camo and I can cut anything from fabric to vinyl and any shape or font from the computer. It's a whole software program that definitely has a learning curve. Here is the window I completed and put above my cabnites.
I also made my first maxi skirt. I can't wait to wear it and to make many more.

Field Trip

1st grade had a field trip to the Peace Center to see a puppeteer show of three stories by Eric Carle. Little Cloud, The Mixed up Chamleon and The Very Hungry Carterpiller. When the registration came out months ago to be a chaperone I jumped on it. I try to go on at least one a year so far that's what I have been able to do and it works out with work. The Very Hungry Carterpiller was Connor's favorite book when he was little. I didn't have to be to the school until 11 so I went into work for a couple hours and then went over to the school. We were waiting and waiting for the buses and it turns out they were never ordered! The field trip was supposed to happen at the first of January but because of snow the performers were snowed in, in NY. I guess the buses were never re ordered for us. Luckily it was a beautiful day out and the Peace Center is only a 10 or so mintue walk on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. We walked it was a lot of fun and they all loved the play. Afterwards I took Connor home for the rest of the day his request was to go to the downtown library and QT (gas station) we did all of that and stopped and got him new shoes. He's been asking for a pair of Jordan's for months now and even gave me $20 of his Christmas money so he finaly got some, he is loving them.
